Smyrlis Racing are PETN Cup 3 champions
Driving Smyrlis Racing's Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS #953, Alexander Fielenbach and Oskar Sandberg have won the 2026 Cup 3 title in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN). The title was decided at the season finale on the Nürburgring Nordschleife on 10 October 2026.
Cup 3 is the PETN's largest class, and a fiercely contested one: up to 22 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS lined up in the class in 2026. Fielenbach and Sandberg came out on top with four class wins and two second places from seven scored races. The pair won the delayed season opener on 21 March, on 11 April, at the six-hour race on 1 August and in the first race of the double-header on 12 September.
At the four-hour finale, the tenth and final round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), #953 finished second in Cup 3 and set the fastest race lap in the class. That sealed the title: Smyrlis Racing top the season standings with 127 points, 14.5 ahead of last year's champions W&S Motorsport. Fielenbach and Sandberg are the Cup 3 driver champions, and Smyrlis Racing with #953 the team champions.
Fielenbach and Sandberg were also in the hunt for the overall NLS title right up to the final race and only narrowly missed out.
One of the sister cars also had a strong finale: Constantin Laube, Henry Lindloff and Max Rosam won the Cup 3 AM classification of the race in #951. Laube and Lindloff finish second in the AM season standings.
The champions will be honoured at the NLS Night of Champions on 7 November 2026. Smyrlis Racing would like to thank the drivers, the whole team, all partners and the fans for this season.
